The Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students
MAPS, represents the undergraduate students interested in pursuing fields in Healthcare. This initiative was the product of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) which represents future underrepresented medical students. With a campus involvement rate of over 100 pre-medical participants, members of MAPS are some of the strongest and most influential undergraduate students. These members constitute a large percentage those who go on to obtain advanced degrees. Hampton MAPS members are active in all capacities. By creating diversity initiatives and making strides in all aspects of pre-medicine and community-based care. Through community service and dedication MAPS premedical students are prepared to take on the challenging tasks of eliminating ethnic health disparities. All the while to continuously strive to provide the Hampton Roads community with a larger sense of confidence in future healthcare providers.
